We are getting lots of questions on when will peak leaf peeping season be and we are going to take a stab. Based on the recent dry days, we are seeing some slow changes already, they are subtle, but are banking on the 3rd week of October 2020 fo peak leaf watching in Western North Carolina. That being said, depending on which area we head, how high we hike and what the weather does, we hope it will be a long and brilliant season. Last year it was a bit shorter, with more bright yellow and orange, particularly in our area, yet the year before was brilliant reds. The best part is no matter what, we know it will be both beautiful and unique!
What is your guess?
